The Future is Peer: 28 February 2024!
Booking is open for our national event as we come together to celebrate the power of peer support!
The Future is Peer will showcase the positive impact of peer support in mental health recovery. It’s a chance to connect with others to celebrate and champion peer support. On the day we’ll be welcoming services and groups from across Scotland and hearing about innovation from further afield.
The event will provide space to explore the challenges of bringing peer support to more people and places. It’s a platform to highlight how investment in approaches and roles can contribute to the Scottish Government and COSLA Mental Health and Wellbeing
Who is event for?
- People involved in developing, managing and delivering peer support including peer workers and volunteers
- Those involved in mental health and wellbeing strategy development and implementation at national and local level
- Mental health service providers and Health and Social Care Partnership service commissioners
A sneaky peek at the programme
Maree Todd, Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport will join us at the event. The Minister will speak about the peer support action in the Delivery Plan and the programme of work underway. The Minister will also officially launch our new online Peer Recovery Hub.
This gives a flavour of the event. Watch out for more announcements over the next few weeks on Twitter and Facebook #TheFutureIsPeer
